From 1953 until the mid 1970’s, John Tate a talented filmmaker and member of the Tate Family who gave Britain the Tate Gallery, traveled to the great motor racing events of Europe, where he left to the world a unique insight into motor racing at a time of great change and all filmed in glorious colour throughout the entire series.

Presented by motor racing personality Tiff Needell, each volume is narrated by John Tate’s son Christopher in a poignant tribute to his father.
